In this hands-on barista training class, students learn how to brew espresso using various recipes and practice pulling shots. We’ll taste and discuss properly and improperly prepared espresso and learn how to adjust an espresso grinder to achieve delicious results. Students will practice steaming milk and then use all of their new skills to create espresso-based beverages. We’ll also learn how to clean espresso machines and grinders.
No prior experience is necessary, though completing Introduction to Coffee is strongly recommended.
Successful completion of this barista training class and a short online written exam qualifies the learner for the Specialty Coffee Association’s Barista Foundation certificate.
Course fee include all SCA Certificate Fees.
